Who This Applies To

This Privacy Policy covers how UseBotiq collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform at usebotiq.com — including our web app, any mobile tools we offer, and all the content within.

There are two types of people who use our platform: Users (businesses and individuals who build chatbots and automation flows on UseBotiq) and Respondents (the end customers who interact with those chatbots). This policy covers both — but the data we handle for each is quite different.

Your Agreement

Using UseBotiq is voluntary. We're not forcing you to share anything with us. But if you create an account or use our services, you're agreeing to how we handle data as described here.

If you're not comfortable with any part of this policy, please don't use the platform — we'd rather you make an informed choice than feel surprised later.

When We Update This Policy

We'll update this policy when our practices change. If the changes are significant, we'll notify you — either through a banner on the site, an email, or both — at least 30 days before the new terms kick in. You'll always have the option to stop using the service if you disagree with what's changed.

Your Data Rights

Depending on where you're based, you have several rights over your personal data. We try to honor these regardless of your location:

What We Collect — From Users

If you sign up and use UseBotiq to build bots or automations, here's what we collect:

Things you give us directly:

• Your name, email, and account details when you register.
• Your chatbot flows, questions, and response data — we store these so the platform works.
• Billing information, if you're on a paid plan (we don't store card details directly).
• Anything else you voluntarily share — like support messages or feedback.

Things we collect automatically:

• How you use the platform — which features you access, how often, etc.
• Your device and browser details — IP address, browser type, OS. We may use your IP to estimate your general location.
• What brought you here — if you came from a link or referral, we note that.

Data From End Users (Respondents)

When someone chats with a bot built on UseBotiq, we collect data on behalf of the UseBotiq User who built that bot. This includes:

• Whatever the end user types into the chatbot.
• Their device, browser, and rough location (from IP).
• Their email address — but only if the bot explicitly asks for it.

How We Use Your Data

The short version: we use your data to run the product, make it better, and keep it secure. More specifically:

• To power the features and services you've signed up for.
• To fix bugs, improve performance, and build new things you'll find useful.
• To detect and stop fraud, spam, or anything that could harm other users.
• To send you product updates or tips — you can unsubscribe from these anytime.

We do not sell your data. Full stop. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform — and only under strict agreements that prevent them from using it for anything else.

If required by a court order or government authority, we may need to disclose data — but we'll tell you if we can.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a website. We use them to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use our platform.

We use:

• Essential cookies — the platform won't work without these.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand what's working and what's not.

Our website isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect any data from minors.

Canceling Your Account

If you want to leave, you can close your account by emailing support@usebotiq.com. Once you do, we'll permanently delete your bot data and personal information from our systems within a reasonable timeframe — except where we're legally required to hold onto something.

You can also update or correct your personal info at any time by getting in touch with us.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active — or as long as we need it to provide you the service. After you close your account, most data is deleted, but we may retain some information (anonymized where possible) to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud.

Google API & Limited Use Policy

UseBotiq integrates with Google APIs — including Google OAuth (for sign-in) and the Google Calendar API (for appointment scheduling). Our use of data obtained from Google APIs strictly follows Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access:

• Google Sign-In: We access your name and email address to create and manage your UseBotiq account.
• Google Calendar: When you connect your Google Calendar, we create calendar events on your behalf when visitors book appointments through your chatbot. We access only the calendar.events scope — we do not read, modify, or delete your existing calendar events.

How we use it:

• Google account data is used solely to authenticate you and provide the services you've requested.
• Google Calendar data is used only to create appointment events — nothing else.
• We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements.
• We do not sell, transfer, or share Google user data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., our hosting provider).
• We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models.
• We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you have explicitly given us permission, or it is necessary for security purposes or legal compliance.

Revoking access: You can disconnect your Google Calendar from UseBotiq at any time from your bot's settings. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page.
